Time with Mom is really nice. We went to the family thing yesterday. One of my cousins had another baby since I last saw the family. I like playing with the kids, though I did talk to the adults. One of my uncles houses exchange students, and he had two boys, from Germany and Korea. The German boy was really cute. But they're both high school boys, so they're a bit too young for me. Darn.

Also, school starts tomorrow. Excitement! I'm actually looking forward to it. It's been such a boring summer, so I'm glad that I'll have school to keep me busy.

Chapter seven of FF2. I've taken all of these great pictures and I'm a little sad that they're stuck on the memory card and can't be saved on something else, because there are some incredibly good ones. Like I took a great one of Azami Kiyu that got me 1609 points. And I have several ones of Mayu with a ghost, like the Calling Man, Man in Dark, and Limbo Man. Poor girl was attacked by those last two but the pictures turned out great. But anyway, I've been going very slow with this game, though once I start it's hard to stop. I like the puzzles and things, and I like the story, and I even like the creepiness sometimes. But I don't like how quickly Mio makes me use up those Herbal Medicines.

I finished another book, The Andromeda Strain. It was a good book and had a lot of stuff in it for one that was so short. I would say its only downside was that a lot of the medical things I didn't really understand. And of course it takes place twenty years before I was born, so all of the cultural references went over my head. I mean, I like how movies like Madagascar incorporate the pop culture of the time, but unfortunately ten years later some of it might not even make sense anymore. *shrug*

Mom's coming in Thursday. I'm doing what I can to clean up the apartment before she comes. I hope while she's here she'll buy me a bathtub cleaner of some kind, because I don't have one. It will be nice having her here. It'll be very exciting to go down there for Christmas. I've never had a Christmas that wasn't cold and snowy before. It'll certainly be a very strange experience.

for friends only )

I was playing Fatal Frame 2 last night. That is not a very good thing to do. It was extremely creepy, and every time Mio opened the door I expected a ghost to be standing on the other side. I've done a Fatal Frame twice so far, and defeated four ghosts. I had to stop though because I was really tired. I was very jittery when I went to bed but I didn't have any nightmares that I remember. I put up an album and saved my best pictures. One picture I got I wasn't able to save, sadly enough. I didn't realize there were only so many pictures I could take. Maybe Adam will get that one.

I also tried playing Sims. I've decided I don't like it, or at least the playstation version. You have to build the house yourself and I kept running out of money before I could get them stuff they needed. So I thought "screw this".

I don't know why anyone on my friends' list would want any of these LJs, but I'm going to list them anyway on the offchance someone will. Or that random person from the internet will come by and see it and go "Hey, that's a neat handle!" But anyway... this is in no particular order.

[info]man_of_lebuque That's a rip-off of Man of La Mancha, I know. But anyway... yeah, Franz journal.
[info]redhead_turk This is a Reno journal, but I guess it could be used for fans of the Turks.
[info]pendragon_girl A Lilly journal, but could be used for someone that like Arthurian legends or something. And is a girl.
[info]truewindrune A Luc journal. Could be used by a fan of Suikoden.
[info]scarred_knight A Seifer journal, but I think it's anonymous enough to be used for other things.

So if anyone wants these journals, comment and I'll see if I can change the password or something. I have two other journals, but one is my Casear-muse's journal, so I want to keep that. And my other one is another Caesar journal, but I don't want to give that one up. I don't use it, but I still like it.

I got two more Battle Trophies in Star Ocean. They were sadly easy to get, and both involved Mighty Vox: Guard against and Emit Anti-attack Aura. All I had to do to get those was put my two other charries on Manual and sit there for a while. Right now I'm gaining Fayt levels so I can try for Defeat Norton using Only Metal Pipe. If this means the Norton at the beginning of the game, I might scream a bit. I think I'm going to leave Defeat Luther at Level 1 to Adam, because I really don't want to do it.

Also in Star Ocean, I've gotten to see two more endings. Somehow my default ending was Sophia's, though I was trying for Maria's. Then I gave her more Tears of Aphrodite, and I saw Roger's ending. I have to say that I still like Albel's ending the best, and when you fight them in Urssa, they start fighting again. It's great. But Roger's ending was pretty funny too, though long. I kept thinking "Where's Fayt?" and he was sitting over with Lezard watching the whole thing. Haha, poor Fayt. I've seen the solo ending, Albel's ending, Adray's ending, Sophia's, and Roger's. Sophia's ending with Fayt is so boring. But dammit, I want to see Maria's ending. x__x;

Lezard in Star Ocean makes me think of Lezard in Valkyrie Profile. I swear, those two are so much alike. I think it's the same guy.

On a totally unrelated note, I read another great book from Gregory Maguire. It's the one based on Cinderella, and I really enjoyed it a lot. I've liked all of his books so far. I'm wary about his sequal to Wicked. I liked Liir as a character; I'm just worried that the sequal is going to be a big disappointment after all the hype Wicked received.

Update on Star Ocean Battle Trophies. Along with the three I mentioned, I managed to secure four more. I got the two for the Princess and the Knight, Defeat Gabriel w/out Taking Damage, and Defeat Fayt Alone. Adam also managed to secure two Trophies while he was around: Defeat Luther using Only Metal Pipe, and Defeat Luther using Only Minor Attacks. For those reading this that haven't gotten to the bonus dungeons yet (Steph), I highly suggest NOT trying to get any of these special trophies. I had to cheat in order to get the one for Fayt. I had to fight him with Albel, so you can imagine what that was like: two of the fastest characters in the game versus Maria. Not fun, even though she WAS at level 255. I tried for the w/out damage one, but decided I'd had enough and that one trophy was plenty. PS: Fayt and Albel were fighting again. It was hilarious. I was like "Geez, they fight like a married couple".

Other than Star Ocean, the only thing I've been playing is Valkyrie Profile. I'm mostly doing that for the quotes, though it's useful to refresh my memory on Lezard's insanity. Strange as it sounds, I love going through Lezard's Tower, if only because Lezard consistently cracks me up. I'm close to beating the game, and as usual, I'm trying for the good ending. I've only seen the regular ending once, and the bad ending once. The good ending is obviously the best.

I fail with keeping up with my stories. I just don't have the urge to do them. Sadness.

Okay, so what's been going on with me lately? A whole bunch of nothing, really. Since that cop came and kicked me out of Forrer, I've been doing a lot of playing Star Ocean. I'd rather be in Forrer chatting and scening with people, but I don't want to risk getting in trouble again. Even though I've been in the lab like three times now since they "closed" it and the door was still open, and there've been other students inside. UNFAIR.

Anyway, Star Ocean. I've gotten three more Battle Trophies and am working on getting two more. In my cleared game, I have Maria at level 220. Adam was saying how hard it was to get to level 255, but I found it incredibly simple to gain her twenty or so levels. Of course I owe the levels to two magical things: Bonus Battle and the Victory Trophy. In my other game, I'm about to go to the Mosel Ruins to get to the Firewall and beat the game. I'll have to go through the Team Battles in the Battle Arena to gain levels.

That's really about it. That, and I've watched Pirates of the Carribean twice. I'm lonely ;____;

Balamb Fairy Tale- yep, it's going back up on the board
Letters from Home- yep, still want to write this
Pulled from Orbit- try rewriting ch.3 and reviving the story
A Luna Lovegood story- she deserves one :D
A Welch Vineyard story- she's fun :D
Galroth, ch.17- Odis and the gang, last chapter of Part 1

That's all I can think of now.

Another one of those "I'm bored" memes that if someone on my flist is also bored, they are free to use :D;

Another pairing meme )

There's sadly not much going on in my life right now. I'm going to start writing my book, and as soon as I can, I'm going to see if I can get my songs recorded. I still don't have a job, but I'm working on that too. I have big dreams, and I'm going to work for them. I WILL go to Rome and Athens! *determined stance*

Ask me for "top five" lists of pretty much anything, and I will list you my top five of that thing or things. Copy and paste this in your own journal and give your own top fives.

Also included is a meme taken from Athena, which lists my favorite quotes from the stories I'm currently working on.

Be amazed at my promo )

fourth charrie stuff )

I thought that writing out their first entries would make things a little easier. It did at least give me the chance to see which of the girls was easiest to get into. Carrie took the longest to write for and somehow ended up having the longest post. All the others were fairly easy to write for. Therefore, I'm sad to say I'll have to eliminate Carrie. We do need a doctor type in the RP, but I'm afraid that as of now, I can't really think of anything interesting she could do. She's so nice and normal that it's a little boring. At least Thomas ate that mysterious pie XDD;;

Adrienne so far has been dominating my brain. She's really insistent on being picked. However, Agnes and Lilin strike me as the ones that would amuse me the most if I pick them. And I confess the large part of why I would pick someone is so they can amuse me. Plus the fact that Sam went into my brain and decided to reserve Tanya, making me even more tempted to be Agnes. Not that I'm mad; I love her for getting in my head XD;; So I think what I'll do is go look for icons for all three of them. Maybe seeing more pictures of them will help me decide.

PS: Restarted HBP and am already on the third chapter. I am teh dork.

I finished Half-Blood Prince about twenty minutes ago or so. That's all I'll say for now. That, and it definitely surpassed books four and five, though I think the third will always have that special place in my heart :D

Pie

I am now halfway through my mission to draw stuff. Meaning I have drawn two of the four pictures I have wanted to draw. The Jess and Barts one came out okay; Jess looks better than Barts (sorry Barts ;-;) I also drew Thomas and THE PIE. For those that don't know about THE PIE, it is something my poor Thomas will never live down. *giggles* It also turned out pretty good, though as usual the feet and hands were my weakpoints. I'm drawing Albel next and saving Rody and Albert until last. I do this because I'm sure that one will be the hardest for me to do.

I've been updating my dream journal online, though I don't know why. I usually write my dreams down just for myself anyway. Which reminds me that I need to write down my dreams. I fear I've mostly forgotten the ones I was going to write down today. I know for sure Amy (SCB) was in the dream. And I also remember someone saying to turn the music off during the dream, because my alarm was going :D; That's all I can remember of it right now.

Adam took the PS2. I was so very close to 5000 battles in SO3! Of course now that it's gone that means I really do have to get working on the next chapter in PfO. I know that it's going to be centering around all the stuff in Peterney, but I think my brain wants to go back and edit the last chapter before going on. It might help if I draw out plotlines, since modivation is slim when all I have is the ending. Same goes for the Matt story, which I'm really considering taking off AFF. I'm going to give it a second try, and if I still don't like it, it's going to go "poof".

In Ocarina of Time, I'm about to go to the Temple of Time and play the song. But first I want to get more heart pieces. I'm worried that Link will grow up and I'll have missed something I could've done while he was still a kid. I know I have at least a few things I want to do before going to the temple. I hope I can remember where those scarecrows are x__x Every time I see Ganondorf, I fangirl. I'm all "Omg Ganondorf!!" which I blame Amy for :P but seriously, he's hot. And Link has three girls after him. It's crazy.

Oglop mania is fun. Though two of my four characters hate them and one wants to disect them, it is soooo much fun. I love Squenix for its random bursts of insanity. I especially love Kuja-mun for having an oglop army. That is priceless stuff. Suiko RPG is fun also. The evil plotting and random pool parties and all that other fun stuff is great! It's just too bad I can't use the school scanner until July 18th. Stupid school. >(

Yesterday I decided to try going twenty-four full hours without getting online. I accomplished this fairly easily. Adam came over and got me and I spent most of the day over at his place. I played MariKart 64 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. When I saw Ganondorf I got so excited. I was all "Omg Ganondorf!!!" Thanks in large part to Amy's fanfics, of course. Right now I'm about to get the Spirit Stone of Fire. I like the game so far and hope I can play it more. I got home and went to sleep around 10:30pm. That is the earliest I've gone to sleep in months!

In Star Ocean, I actually got all the way to Gabriel Celesta. Then he killed me, so I had to start all the way back over again at the part where you have to fight all the Will o'Wisps. That was a pain in the butt. Now I'm taking my time to gain levels before I face him again. Maria is on level 120, Albel is at 109, and Cliff is at 92. In my other game, I have gone past 4600 battles, and I'm only at the part where you fight Crossell. Of course I used the data from Adam's game to start out with, but still!

One last thing: Gregory Maguire is my new favorite author. He writes so amazingly well! And Lost is probably the best Gothic story I've read since Poe. I mean, it's not as good as Poe, but it's still pretty great!

The doings in Florida! These may not be in chronological order, but I'll still get the important stuff down.

We went to the beach a few times during our stay. As is characteristic of me, I got a little sick and stayed that way until around my birthday. Not sick enough to throw up but just uneasy in my stomach. Anway, we went to see Star Wars on Sunday, I think it was. Still an excellent movie. We went to church with Mom on Saturday. The neat thing was that they all park in the grass, and there was even a little cement block in the grass marking off individual spaces.

Mom's condo is very nice. She has a nice view, which I took a picture of. I got to swim in the pool a bit and got a nice burn on my legs. That was the day before my birthday. It was still fun, though. Adam sounded like he was struggling when he was swimming, and it looked like he was doing some kind of dog paddle/frog swimming thing. He got a sunburn too. After he left, the pool we had been swimming at was closed for lots of repairs, so I had to go to another one that didn't have a screen to keep out the bugs. Which was still okay.

For my birthday, we went on a tour of the Everglades. We got to see manatees, alligators, lots of trees, and dolphins. There were lots of different kinds of birds, too. There was a pelican that was on our boat, and he would fly between our boat and another one. I took a picture of him too. We learned about the different kinds of palm trees, and the mangrove tree, which is this plant that makes little islands, and that's how the Thousand Islands were made. We went to Tin City, which is like a little place with shopping and food, and the place where we ate had pelicans nearby.

The day after my birthday we went to see a play called "Play it Again, Sam" which is by Woody Allen. Parts of it were funny but I didn't get all of the jokes because I've never seen a Humphrey Bogart movie. I still liked it. We ate at this place called Mel's Diner and I would've taken a picture if I had my camera. Yes, I'm a Suikoden dork. Go me! Anyway, we saw Adam to the airport on Thursday. I know that we went to see the sun set before he left. I don't know if he watched it or not. -_-;

Mom and I saw two more movies while I was there. The Sisterhood movie and Batman Begins. Both were good in their own way. The Sisterhood is actually an excellent movie and is one all girlfriends should go see. The Batman movie is freaking awesome. Better than the other four COMBINED. The thing about the theaters down there is that they don't have a dollar movie. Their matinees are $6.50. I got to meet Mom's Bible Study group last Saturday. They seemed like nice folks. Most of the time she was at work I was either lying out in the sun or watching TV, or watching a movie. When the guy finally came to hook up the 'net, I was on that quite a lot.

I got lots of new clothes while I was down there. I now have three new shirts, two new pairs of shorts, a watch, a pair of jeans, a pair of khakis, sandals, new tennis shoes, new underwear, sunglasses, and a new haircut. I wanted clothes from Mom for my birthday, so I got just what I wanted. Dad "bought" me the Spamalot soundtrack, and also got me Lemony Snicket. Adam got me Nausticaa of the Valley of the Wind. I'm going to buy Wicked and Guys and Dolls STs with the money Grandma and Papah gave me. So yay, more music!

Ne, I almost forgot to mention the ducks! They're really ugly. *laughs* And they walk around like they own the place. There were tons of them at this one beach and I took a picture of it. I'll be posting pictures so you'll get to see just how ugly they are. I would've taken a picture of a salamander, but they're too fast for me. I got to see them a few times but they ran off. The ducks just sit there because they know no one is going to hit them. It's funny how the animals learn to not be afraid of people.

That's about it, I think. *scratches head* We did more stuff when Adam was there, since Mom was on vacation then. I had a good time.

You Are The Champion
"Don't worry, I got it."

You play as the Hero. You are the one who usually tries to take on the world for any cause you believe in. You are a natural leader in most circles and are not afraid to take that position if a situation calls for it. Others look to you for inspiration and praise you for your acheivements. Even though they love and adore you, however, you are left feeling alone or overwhelmed many times. You're almost always positive and keep your chin up despite any setbacks because you know that you will succeed in the end, no matter how long it takes.
